Features
Product Description
Rosehip jam is an unusual find for recent generations in this country. However, rosehips, the fruits of the rose, have been eaten as fruit in Europe and Asia and by Native Americans for centuries. These fruits are remarkably high in vitamin C. During World War II, British school children were give a sweet rosehip syrup that was made by boiling the perfumed fruits in a mixture of sugar and water. Rosehips produce a deliciously sweet jam with a slight tang and a beautiful red-orange color. The flavors are somewhat reminiscent of good peach jelly, but not as sweet and with a balancing sour note.[tr id=ourprice]
